ABOUT THIS VINTAGE WOODEN SCULPTURE
This phallic wooden carrousel with human figures was discovered by folk art collector & culture promotor Humberto Arellano in the early 60´s. Mr. Ibarra also did reproductions of pre hispanic musical instruments. According to México Desconocido Magazine, Máximo Ibarra´s work was admired & promoted by the writer Carlos Monsiváis & the musician Victor Fosado.
