This piece is an authentic Oaxacan Alebrije wood carving. It was hand crafted in San Martin Tilcajete, Oaxaca by Zapotec indigenous people.  The piece is made of copal wood, which is considered as sacred tree and completely hand carved, which makes it unique and special. The wings, antenas and feet are detachable to facilitate a safe transportation. It is also entirely painted by hand with the creativity and talent of Oaxacan artists.

This alebrije is the most traditional from Oaxaca.
