ABOUT THIS MEXICAN INDIGENOUS TEXTILE
This is not only a bag, it's a collector's item. It was embroidered by Mazahua indigenous woman and the whole piece is decorated with their characteristic imagery.The strap is waist loomed and has a beautiful geometric pattern with a green and orange combination.The main image is a tree of life with a flower at the center. Four deer, two ducks and some flowers complete teh decor of this magnificent little bag. Mazahua indigenous people live in the state of Mexico and Michoacán. Mazahua means in Náhuatl "people of the deer", which is considered to be a sacred animal.
