ABOUT THIS BACK STRAP LOOMED INDIGENOUS TEXTILE
This rebozo (shawl) was crafted by Purépecha Indigenous People from Michoacán, Mexico using the pre columbian back strap loom technique. It has a red stripes pattern over a white background and a finely crafted fringe with diamond pattern.
The textile is 100%cotton.
Making each shawl takes years of knowledge and weeks of dedication. With your shopping you support the work of indigenous families, with whom we work directly on a fair trade basis.
