ABOUT THIS MEXICAN POTTERY PIECE
This clay jaguar is a fine Mexican pottery piece crafted in a town called Amatenango del Valle in the state of Chiapas. It was completely hand molded and crafted by Tzeltal indigenous people. It is stunningly painted in a black on black palette using a glossy tone for the skin marks over a mate background. Jaguar is an animal very important in Mexican culture.
