ABOUT THIS BACK STRAP LOOMED INDIGENOUS TEXTILE
This award winning rebozo (shawl) displays a beautiful multi colored striped pattern over a ravishing yellow background. It was crafted by Purépecha Indigenous People from Michoacán, Mexico using the pre columbian back strap loom technique. The fringe was also loomed and it displays an amazing X shape and antropomorphic pattern.
The textile is 100%cotton.
Making each shawl takes years of knowledge and weeks of dedication. With your shopping you support the work of indigenous families, with whom we work directly on a fair trade basis.
