ABOUT THIS TONALA BURNISHED CLAY POTTERY PIECE

This outstanding Tonala burnished clay pottery piece was crafted in Tonala, Mexico by ceramics master Moisés Rodriguez, one of the most renowned and awarded Mexican Folk artists. The retablo depicts  St. Michael Archangel holding a flame sword defeating the evil represented by a dragon. The border is beautifully decorated with little angels.

Moises is a respected artist in Tonala and his pieces valued amongst collectors and Mexican Folk Art connoisseurs. He has won many awards and prizes.
