This set of two glazed candle sticks crafted in Michoacan, Mexico is an outstanding sample of fine Mexican pottery. Each glazed black clay candle holder is exquisitely decorated with doves. They were Crafted in Michoacan, Mexico by Purepecha indigenous people from Santa Fe de la Laguna, near the lake of Patzcuaro, famous for the Day of the Dead festivities. This set is for sale at Carapan, Mexican Folk art Gallery since 1950.
