ABOUT THIS MEXICAN TREE OF LIFE

This  pottery piece is a fine sample of Mexican Tree of Life crafted in Metepec, state of Mexico. It is not only a very beautiful christmas ornament, but also a superb Mexican folk art piece that can be on display all year long.

The tree of life depicts the Nativity scene at the center of jesus with Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, an angel and two sheppards. At the bottom, the tree wise men are beautifully represented with their costumes, gifts and animals. At the top is a landscape with the artist´s interpretation of Bethlem.

 The tree of life was crafted by Martín Díaz. The artist signed the piece a the back.
