ABOUT THIS MEXICAN INDIGENOUS TEXTILE

This embroidered textile is a small textile Jewel. It was crafted by Mazahua indigenous people and depicts a tree of life with 6 deer. The whole contour is exquisitely embroidered with a vegeta motif pattern in blue & black Mazahua indigenous people live in the state of Mexico and Michoacán. Mazahua means in Náhuatl "people of the deer", which is considered to be a sacred animal.
