Lilac Striped Mexican Shawl Rebozo Wrap Runner Backstrap Loomed
ABOUT THIS BACKSTRAP LOOMED MEXICAN TEXTILE
This striped rebozo has an exquisite lilac, pink and white palette. It was crafted by Tzotzil indigenous women from Chiapas, Mexico using the pre hispanic backstrap loom technique. Mexican shawls are Rebozos; one of the most important folk art textile traditions. It can be used not only as a shawl or wrap, but also as a table runner or bed spread. Making each shawl takes years of knowledge and days of dedication. With your shopping you support the work of indigenous families, with whom we work directly on a fair trade basis.
