Fucsia Mexican Shawl cotton Scarf with striped band backstrap loomed
ABOUT THIS MEXICAN TEXTILE
This rebozo has an exquisite fucsia palette with a band of mustard, brown and blue stripes on the side. It can be used not only as a scarf or wrap, but also as a table runner or bed throw. It was crafted by Tzotzil indigenous women from Chiapas, Mexico using the pre hispanic backstrap waist loom technique. Mexican shawls are Rebozos; one of the most important folk art textile traditions. Making each shawl takes years of knowledge and days of dedication. With your shopping you support the work of indigenous families, with whom we work directly on a fair trade basis.
