ABOUT THIS BACK STRAP LOOMED INDIGENOUS TEXTILE
This fine Mexican Indigenous Textile piece of art was hand crafted in Oaxaca, Mexico, by Huave Indigenous People using the pre columbian back strap loom technique. It is made of white and coyuchi cotton. Coyuchi is highly valued because it has a natural brown-beige tone.
The fabric displays traditional Huave indigenous Iconography with a pattern of stars and antropomorphic figures. Size is Medium as a dress or Large as a long Blouse.
