This outstanding Tonala burnished clay pottery piece was crafted in Tonala, Mexico. It is a dove with a beautiful shape painted in beige & orange tones and decorated with floral motifs and Naguales. Naguales are pre hispanic mythological creatures half human half animal. It is approximately 14 Inches tall and 13 inch in diameter, a great home decor element that will stand out wherever you place it.

Tonalá is a small city outside of Guadalajara in the Mexican state of Jalisco, where potters combine ancient and modern techniques to create a regional tradition that is taught from one generation to the next since pre-Columbian times.
