ABOUT THIS OCUMICHO CERAMIC PIECE

This Palm Sunday ensemble is an authentic piece of Mexican Folk art crafted in Ocumicho, Michoacán. A place world famous for the quality of its pottery and surreal creations such as devils and other fantastic creatures. This piece in particular was crafted by the talented Sabina Elías, a pottery master of Mexican folk art.

The piece depicts the biblical passage of Palm Sunday, with Jesus riding a donkey and being praised by the locals. Each character with traditional purépecha clothing.
