ABOUT THIS HUICHOL BEADED MASK
This beaded mask was crafted by Huichol indigenous people, one of the most important creators of Mexican Folk art. Their craft is somehow a Shamanic art, since they represen their own vision of the universet with sacred animals. This mask depicts the deer and the sacred peyote plant, which they use during their ceremonies to get a connection with the universe through the guidance of their chaman or Marakame.
