ABOUT THIS MEXICAN FOLK ART POTTERY ITEM
Mexican pottery is very diverse and its high quality is appreciated amongst collectors. Dolores Porras ceramic pots have a special place in the field. Her style is unique and got very popular in her hometown Atzompa, Oaxaca. This pot in particular is decorated with lizards, zoomorphic figures and Axolotl, the Mexican fish. This pot was directly acquired at her workshop from her son, Rolando. It is one of the last pieces she made before Ms. Porras passed away. It is signed at the bottom.
