ABOUT THIS MEXICAN CLAY TREE OF LIFE
A day of the dead theme tree of life very well achieved by Mexican artist Martín Diaz, from Metepec. The piece depicts a Catrina as central figure with a skeleton on each side eating a pan de muerto. Pan de muerto is a bread specially made for the day of the dead festivities. A catrina head with an elegant hat is at the bottom. The whole piece is surrounded with flowers and butterflies. The tree of life is beautifully painted in blue & turquoise tones.
