ABOUT THIS MEXICAN WAX SCULPTURE
This outstanding wax sculpture depicts a woman wearing the traditional Purepecha indigenous clothes. The head, face, hair legs and arms are made of wax. Her face displays a peaceful pride and the work of her hair braid is outstanding. She is holding her apron with her right hand. The apron is beautifully embroidered with sequins and lace. Her belt is crafted with the pre hispanic waist back strap loom technique.
The wax presents minor imperfections due to it´s hand made process you may refer to the pictures or contact us if you have any question.
It was crafted in Michoacán, Mexico, the heart of the Purépecha culture.
