ABOUT THIS MEXICAN INDIGENOUS TEXTILE

Cushion cover with purple background and beige diamonds with colorful centers. A beautiful textile  backstrap loomed by Tzeltal indigenous woman from the state of Chiapas. To create each piece the artisan straps one end of the loom to her waist and the other to a tree to create tension and using her hands and simple wood instruments they create these outstanding textiles.
